Farmerama: Farm-Simulation Game Receives Mashable Award for Best Online Game 2010

As 2010 came to a close, there were over 1.3 million nominations and votes for winners of various awards. Today, Bigpoint's farm simulation game Farmerama received the award for Best Online Game of the Year with over 20 million registered users.

The popularity of Farmerama is solidified with its reception of the award for Best Online Game of the Year presented by the Mashable Awards. For four years now, the Mashable Awards (formerly the Open Web Awards) have been recognizing various internet media, online services and electrical gadgets for outstanding performance, products and popularity among users.

After each nominee was voted upon, Farmerama made it into a final round of five. From there, the browser game was voted upon by users and readers of mashable.com. Thanks to all of the votes by fans of Farmerama, it managed to overcome the other nominees to receive the title.
